This is Why I Love Joe Scarborough
In the past I've caught some heat, especially when writing Gawker, whenever I've expressed how much I like and respect Joe Scarborough, someone I believe to be the last of a dying breed...a Republican conservative with an open, objective mind who refuses to sit idly by and watch his party get taken over by charlatans, Jesus-freaks, and blood-thirsty neocons. So I kind of wanted to stand up and cheer when I saw that he'd went off on his Twitter page last night over the moronic movement led by dipshit conservatives to hold their children out of school next week when Obama delivers an address to the nations schoolkids, something the aforementioned dipshit conservatives insist is nothing more than an attempt to indoctrinate America's young minds into communism. Anyway, bravo Joe...

I do watch Morning Joe quite a bit, and most of the time I feel like smacking the guy upside the head (like yesterday about the State Dept. investigating ArmorCorp for the shit they were pulling. Scarborough came off as a dick--almost as if he had not gotten around to really reading what had been going on). But then he pulls something like this out, and I wanna cheer him. He was all over this this morning calling out all the wingnuts.
One thing I wish he would do is let others get words in edgewise for a good debate instead of him dominating the conversation all the time. I get tired of it.
Do you love Scarborough when he rips on Obama's spending?
Or just when he disagrees with the Republican Party?
It's sad - St. Tammany Parish School Board sent a letter home stating the parents can requests that their children not participate. I wrote to the superintendent and put in my two cents ~ it's as if they can stick their head in the sand long enough, Obama will magically disappear.
@anon...I love scarborough all of the time. when he rips obama for something he does it out of genuine philosophical disagreement and usually presents some sort of fact-based argument to back it up rather than just making up nonsense about death panels and such just to score political points by deceiving the doltish masses with lies and propaganda. the guy's honest and real and in this era that sort of thing is rare and should be applauded.
And for the record, I often agree with him when he is critical of Obama. Just because I supported the guy doesn't mean I'm completely in the tank for him.
I like and respect Joe Scarborough, too. I don't always agree with him, but he is intelligent and open-minded. He can be a dick sometimes, but can't we all? I like Chris Matthews, too, but he practically tells some of his birther-death board Republican guests that he has chunks of people like them in his stool. Chris Matthews can be a real dick, too, but I like him a lot. I give MSNBC a lot of credit for having the balance/spectrum of Joe Scarborough all the way to Keith Olbermann and power lesbian Rachel Maddow. MCNBC is really presenting all possible viewpoints during their broadcast day (and you can download many MSNBC shows on itunes for free). I gather that Joe S. thinks that Sarah Palin is a real dumb bitch. Also, I would so enjoy having a hot threeway with Harold Ford (a frequent Scarborough Morning Joe guest) and Rachel Maddow, with Willie Geist watching us, offering commentary and helpful tips. We could have us some fair and balanced sexual relations. I would also like to have a threeway with Levi Johnston and Harold Ford with me as sort of the filler meat in the sandwich. That would be hot! I am disappointed that Harold Ford isn't part of the Obama administration at some level. Harold is a sharp and good guy and really sexy. I bet Harold is hung like a government mule, too. Also, did you know that the lovely and talented Candy Samples is releasing her debut album in a few days (at Southern Decadence in your home state)? Time to promote Candy!
i barely recovered myself from reading Марко Фризия's comment, but yeah, hats off to msnbc for letting it flow both ways. joe can be a bit of a tool, and needs to be careful when he mimics faux news' shouting heads style.
i'd promote candy samples' work based on her fine name alone. must google.
