In case you've never seen live crawfish before, they're not supposed to be blue...
According to this article in the Thibodaux Daily Comet, this is actually not a rare abnormality, though I have to say that I've handled lots of crawfish in my life, and can't recall ever seeing anything like this.

that picture makes the crawfish look enormous.
Do we know if they ate him? I would definitely keep him as a pet. I think crawfish are real cute anyway...but way more tasty than cute.
oh I have seen this in lobsters! it's so beautiful.
used to live near the corner of magazine and louisiana and there was a seafood shop on the corner. there are also white ones from time to time. at one time, they had each - a red, white & blue one in the tank together. pretty cool.
