The very first edition of "One Shining Moment" from CBS' coverage of the NCAA championship

Since tonight is the culmination of the 2009 NCAA men's basketball tournament, I was thinking earlier how I'm looking forward to the "One Shining Moment" montage they do every year at the conclusion of the broadcast. Thinking about it got me so nostalgic in fact that I went digging around on YouTube for past editions. Here's the very first one of them all that aired 1987 after Indiana beat Syracuse on a last second shot by Baton Rouge native Keith Smart. There are a couple of classic clips in here...Bobby Knight pounding the phone on the scorers table during Indiana's game against LSU in the regional final...Rick Pitino hugging his star player Billy Donovan who is now the coach at Florida....and holy shit I forgot how skinny basketball players were 20 years ago! Anyway, enjoy...

Hey CB,

I am so glad that you mentioned "One Shining Moment". It might be my favorite part of March madness!!! I especailly love when the players know they did something great and say "One shining moment!" to the cameras. And I was commenting about it at the bar last night, and all these die hard BB fans had no idea what i was talking about.

I think it would be an awesome first dance sond at a wedding. seriously.
