So...maybe you're thinking that I decided to start taking photos of my food and posting them to the web? Well, you'd be wrong. What you see below are pictures from a story on a website call Mom Logic about the growing trend of mothers eating their placentas after giving birth. What you see here are servings of placenta pasta and a placenta sandwich. 
MMMMMM...do you have a recipe for placenta that you'd like to share?

The girl I share my office with just told me her stomach's churning after I read her some of that. She's now putting on her iPod because she refuses to listen to any more of this.

Well, there are cannibals in America too. erk. The woman and her twin sister both ate the placenta. double erk. Apart from the erk factor there are public health reasons not to eat someone else's human flesh - you can get their diseases. In Papua New Guinea the Fore tribe had a tradition of eating the flesh of their dead relatives as part of the mourning process and that led to the spread of a terminal brain disease similar to mad cow disease, called kuru, which destroys your brain.
It is gross, about as gross as eating beef liver, or steak, think about it. I wish I didn't eat meat, but 51 years of carnivorous habits are too ingrained in me to change. But that was really disgusting visually oh cajunboy friend.
