Jim Rome vs. Jim Everett fifteen years later
Apparently yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the Jim Rome vs. former Saints quarterback Jim Everett ESPN on-air brawl. I saw this clip yesterday and when I did it dawned on me that I'd never seen the entire thing from beginning to end, I'd only seen the very ending of it when Everett, peeved at Rome for taking shots at his manhood by calling him "Chris" in reference to female tennis pro Chris Everett, overturned the host's table and pounced on him.
I gotta admit...now that I see the the whole thing, I can hardly blame Everett for losing his cool and attacking Rome. I mean, how could he not?

staged
Hasn't it been long since confirmed that this was entirely staged?
@el padrino & nick...i have never seen anything definitive about it being staged. to my knowledge, neither rome nor everett had admitted as much. all i know is that i listened to rome's radio show for years and i don't remember him ever talking about it, nor did he ever refer to jim everett as chris everett again.
Yeah, I was a big fan of the jungle and I never remember hearing Romey mention this incident at all.
Everett was actually a pretty decent NFL QB too. He did not suck like about 1/3 starters now.
I forgot all about his late night show on the Deuce.
