Jim Rome on "softball guy"
Since the weather heated up a few days ago, I've received multiple solicitations from friends to play on their softball teams. This brought to mind a classic riff on "softball guy" by Jim Rome on his radio show. I checked YouTube and whatdoyaknow, an audio recording was there. Everybody knows one of these guys, right?

Yeah it is also a pretty blatant rip-off of Colin Cowherd's style of radio.
On that note, Rome did forget about the guy who not only wears 2 batting gloves while playing pick-up softball, but then leaves one on under his glove while in the outfield...
He totally left out the part about "Softball Guy" Driving a jacked up F250, RAM 2500, or GMC 2500 that has never been off rode, pulled a trailer, or hauled anything heavier than a futon.
@jared...i don't know man, rome's been around since the late 80s with that same style. i think it's the other way around.

Caj- My bad. I am a really big herd fan, and cant say i have listened to much Rome. It would be interesting to try and dig to the bottom of this though,because someone has to have been the one to come up with "[insert topic here] guy"

I played a few years ago, wore 2 batting gloves to bat, because if I didnt, I would have blistered hands the next day. I also wore one under the glove out at shortstop, mainly because my hands sweat, and I didnt want the glove sliding off my hand which I wore loose to have a bigger net.
Stop reaching, let the comedians be comedians. There is a reason you are blogging. :)
