How dare the Popeye's on Lake Ave. run out of fried chicken!
I'm not sure what's sadder...the irrational anger of the people being interviewed, or the fact that they were being interviewed for a story on the local news in the first place. All I'm certain of is this...if Al Copeland were still alive, this would never happen!

would it have killed them to interview a disappointed white customer?
WHAM is just perpetuating stereotypes here.
Holy shit...this happened in Minneapolis last week, too...causing a riot! I kid you not! But, I DO LOVE that Louisiana fried chicken!
get in your giant SUV and go buy some damn real food at a store...it's not popeyes job to make sure you are fed...
i hate people...everyone
It's sad to me that this is what gets people upset. Not the fact that we have a corrupt government or that millions of people are starving worldwide or that racism and bigotry run rampant in this country, but that heaven forbid, people can't have their bucket of chicken. Ridiculousness.
Notice the WHAM News 13 anchors' smug grins following the "story." Yes, the feature is absurd, but showing only black people -- as if no other ethnic groups frequent Popeyes -- is an attempt to amuse bigots. Im not sure which is more absurd, using this story for "news," or the editing of the story. I've always suspected WHAM to be slanted to the right, but now it seems that they are guilty of perpetuating racist stereotypes. Why do I think so? Well, the executive anchor for WHAM 13 for the last 25 years is Don Alhart, who resides in Penfield, NY (an upper middle class suburb of Rochester), which also happens to have the only other Popeyes in the county. The residents of Penfield are predominantly white, so why were no cameras at this location showing disappointed white customers? God, I loathe those mcmansions.
