Why is a Jesus-loving "real American" like Sarah Palin palling around with Scientologists?
Ok, here's what we know...Sarah Palin is an ignoramus of Titanic proportions who desperately wants to president so that she can burn all the Harry Potter books and force unmarried women to have their pussies sewn shut because pussies are the root of all evil and should only be fondled within the confines of a matrimonial bond. We also know that Sarah Palin often appears on Greta Van Susteren's horrible Fox News show to bray barely incoherent lies that go completely unchallenged by Greta's hard-hitting journalistic style. Now, we recently discovered that Greta's husband, John Coale, was the person running Sarah Palin's fundraising committee for her 2012 race for the presidency as well as "guiding (her) image in Washington." We also learned that Greta's husband was some sort of leader within the cultish Scientology movement.
Now today Gawker's John Cook has somehow managed to get his hands on an internal Scientology document written by Greta's husband outlining how the cult can gain power and influence in Washington...it's a manifesto of sorts on how to gain influence with powerful political figures in the hopes of having friends in high places to help fight off future attacks against their wacky religion. I suggest you go read it.
And to just refresh your memory, Scientologists at their core believe that all earthlings came from a far-away galaxy millions of years ago when an evil ruler named Xenu exiled trillions of people to earth to solve his own planet's overpopulation problem. Among other things.
Yeah.
Now, on the face of it, the pairing of Sarah Palin and the Church of Scientology seems to be an unlikely one, but then when you sit back and just let it really sink in, it all seems perfectly logical. In fact, it makes perfect sense. Who else but Sarah Palin would be so power-hungry AND brainwashable enough to fall into bed with these freaks. You follow? Besides, Tom Cruise is a Scientologist and Sarah fancies herself as a "maverick," so logically this would the next step in her progression to that end...

Dude, do you just stand up on your soap box and spit out your venom of hatred for conservatives and the political right with facts, or is this that one of those things that doesn't really matter to you because this is your blog and all?
jj
Thank you for this post, shewolf needs to be exposed in all her glory.
jj,
To help Caj (unsolicited) answer your incredibly poorly worded question...
Yes, he uses facts, but it really wouldn't matter if he didn't, because it IS his blog.
However, if you meant to say "without facts", then I would challenge you to prove where this or any other posting is lacking in a factual basis.
Ball is in your court, cockpocket...

@jj...i would answer your question except for the fact that i have no fucking idea what it was you just tried to ask me.
@slamdance...thanks.
First of all let me say I think Scientology is whacky and I could not be part of this brainwashing cult. Secondly, it never ceases to amaze me how rational folks can read about Scientology and Mythology and immediately laugh at how ridiculous it all is, but then they read the Bible and totally believe in a virginal birth, an ark with 2 of every animal peacefully co-existing, and Jonah's living in the belly of a fish for 3 days. If you accept Christianity on faith and a book of Jewish fairy tales (Thanks Bill Maher), how can you make fun of other religions without making fun of or questioning your own religious beliefs?
That Anonymous comment from jj at 3:15pm is quite an impressive "word salad". JJ must have learned from the master how to craft such a salad (so too also perhaps he or she went to the same 5 community colleges to obtain a journalism degrees as so too did Sarah Palin, who perhaps he or she is attempting to perhaps possibly defend with the comment posted at 3:15pm) Kudos, jj, Sarah would be proud!
and on another note: I've always believed that if people can buy into the bible myth, then they can buy into any creation myth that is presented to them. The same lack of logic, inability to embrace proven scientific standards, and lack of personal curiosity must be employed to accept any myth relating to how we humans came to be.
We are in the 21st century and science is giving us real answers regarding our existence. It's time to put away the fairy tales and accept that we are a happy accident of "evolution" and that perhaps we do not have a universal purpose and that we're lucky to get a chance to have our go around on this big blue marble.
The creation myths that we call religion have caused too much blood shed and dissent among the human residents of this planet and it's time for it to stop! We have a purpose here, on this earth, for however long we get to be here and our purpose now should be harmony and acceptance and working together to cure what ails us as a species and what ails our home planet.
Who am I kidding, taking rose colored glasses off now and deciding to accept the way things are. I wish it could be different. Perhaps in a few hundred years.....
After reading this, I Wikipediaed(SIC) Greta---surprise surprise--her father Urban was best of friends with Joe McCarthy back in Wisconsin.
Are you shocked she works for Fox News?
Bob---Priscilla's husband.
KPrice beat me to my comment except she left out that Man was molded out of dirt by God who then pulled a rib out him which sprouted into a woman. uh!
Most of us subscribe to blogs because they are, in fact, preaching to the choir. I found CB from another friend whose politics and humor mirror my own, and she's maybe smarter, so she has better resources. Now, from time to time here on CajunBoy I see some thoughtful disagreement. Rarely do these people hide behind an anonymous moniker.
Yes JJ, as you observed, CB owns the blog. I'm curious why you would choose to comment at all? Oh, right. You have the white sheet of anonymity on.
If you are a regular reader of this page you must know that it isn't the daily show, although it has its moments. But also, if you read it regularly, you also know that humor and information have a sort of symbiosis.
And if I were to extract the bad grammer from your comment and address your question, I would point out that this column comes nowhere close to expressing hatred for conservatives, nor venom with the political right.
Allow me to preach where CB doesn't. CONSERVATIVES????? You surely don't mean the Republican party?? They spent like my asshole husband on his own at a casino. Bush-the conservative-eviscerated a balanced budget because his party leaders (or puppeteers) wanted big tax breaks for the wealthy, and thought a war in Iraq-sold to Bush as a way to exonerate daddy for the previous one-would create big money for the oil companies once USA was a permanent fixture. Oh. Oops.
And clearly, Bush- a republican, but hardly conservative-isn't so happy about being played. It's why he did NOT exonerate Scooter (really? Scooter? and you're a grown up?) Libby. It's why for the first time in my life a veep is walking around bitching about the man under whom he served. Twice.
So CB is having a little fun with Palin. WHere have you been? Republicans did too. If you want to argue a specific-name it. If you want to argue politics, well by all means DO. But not as an anonymous mouthpiece without a coherent argument.
I have friends that are conservatives, indeed, listen to poisontalk radio. But bring it on honestly or slink away.
jj is sarah palin.
@i am not star jones...i actually think you may be onto something.
Ok, my grammer isn't the best, next time I'll proof read. To answer all questions, 1) I came across this blog by mistake and decided to read it, another mistake of mine because I see CB is preaching to his own choir. 2) I don't see the tie-in to Sarah Palin and Scientology. Yes, she has admitted to being a christian, but not a Scientologist. Most christians don't claim to be Scientologists.
Somehow this post got people preaching about christanity vs evolution? I guess because Palin believes in creation, then creation must be wrong? Of course you all will laugh (go ahead) at me because Bill Maher is your only god, but I do believe in christianity. Now the Bible does have alot of truth to it, but it doen't break it all down into the science, (Noah's ark, Jonah, virgin birth, man made from dirt, etc..), that would be several different blog posts all together.
In fact modern science is proving the Bible to be correct more and more every day.
Do you know that it is over 1 billion times more likely that Mt. Rushmore could be formed naturally by wind and weather than the likelihood of a "Big Bang" with molecules coming together out of nothing to form something, and that that something could actually stay together long enough to eventually support life. Now that is faith!
The reason I have posted as anonymous is because I do not have my own blog, that is all!
jj
Yup, jj might be her at least in spirit. Hard escaping that unique form of English. "is this that one".
Take action against Scientology. Help us drive the cult out of your schools and government offices:

@ jj
I realize it is unlikely that you will see this, but what the fuck...
If you bothered to read the post through, you might have noticed there were links to the articles referenced. In said articles, it is pointed out that John Coale (Greta Van Susteren's husband) is in charge of Palin's PAC to get her on the ballot for POTUS in 2012. He is also one of the grand-poobahs of Scientology and wrote a plan a few years back on how to get Scientology to be more influential in U.S. politics.
Are you with me so far?
Do you see the connection?
No one here (as far as I can tell) objects to reasonable and intelligent disagreement. Proof to that is the fact that I am a Minn. Vikings fan and Caj here wrote a scathing screed involving sodomization without lube and my team/fans.
(It's not my fukkin' fault the Taints suck worse than the Vikes.)
Back to point.
jj, (and I don't mean to speak for Caj, so edit this if you choose) if you want to debate Sarah Palin as the savior of the GOP, or any other neo-con issue, religious issue, or how Barack the magic negro is going to kill all the whiteys in the world, feel free to do so, BUT, expect to get smacked down for it, especially if you do it without intelligence, wit, and maybe some FUKKIN' facts...
peace,
