Marissa Mayer of Google on The Charlie Rose Show
Last night I caught this interview on Charlie Rose with Marissa Mayer, VP of Search Product and User Experience at Google. I'm told that Mayer is essentially in charge of everything relating to the Google search engine machine, which is pretty astounding when you stop and think about it...I mean, here's a young lady, I'm guessing in her early 30s, and she's literally one of the most powerful people in the world due to her sway over internet commerce and web traffic via Google search results. That kind of blows my mind. Anyway, this was the first time I'd ever seen her interviewed and I found her to be smart (obviously) and sweet and humble, despite what's been written about her by other internet peoples. And the conversation between she and Rose about the future of the internet was quite interesting...
Now Marissa, just in case you happen to run across this post in a Google alert, can you please fix something for me that I've been trying to get fixed FOREVER?! You see, when people try to subscribe to my RSS feed via Google Reader by manually putting my link into the little URL box, it results in a message saying that the link doesn't exist or something. However, people are able to subscribe to the feed using the Google Reader widget in the left margin of my blog. Weird right? And so ANNOYING! Anyway, I'd love you forever and ever if you could get one of your bright, talented young minions at Google right on that! I'll even throw in a free kneecapping of anyone you'd like kneecapped...how's that for a deal?!?!

Guys at my highschool used to control the ebb and flow of the internet all the time. It was no big deal.
BTW, I'd bend her over
thank you for calling out the subscribe button in your nav bar. i've tried & failed to subscribe via google reader numerous times.
So CBITC....you do kneecapping? Didn't know that. I know a few tobacco industry lawyers....only in my dreams would I ever. BTW, did you know your new senator, Kristen Gillabrand used to work for Philip Morris??? Under her maiden name.
Also Marissa of Google has a $5mill condo in SFO, just a few little tidbits of interest.
That Gawker piece you linked to read like a whinge from someone who missed out on a promotion that Marissa Mayer got. Jeez, implying that she just got to where she is because she slept with the boss :roll eyes: with no mention of her engineering qualifications. Sore loser envy talking.
