Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal profiled on 60 Minutes
Bobby Jindal was profiled by Morley Safer on last night's episode of 60 Minutes. To his credit he did come off, in my opinion, relatively well and quite likable to the viewing audience, despite whether or not you agree with him philosophically. There was no mention, however, of Jindal being by General Custer's side when Custer issued his infamous "well you can come and scalp me" smoke signal to the Indians at Little Bighorn...

How ironic that, in his haste to fulfill his political ambition, he turned his back on the very things that would have made him unique and would have drawn so many more supporters to him and possibly his party - his religion, his name, his heritage, his parents. Even his accent. His accent is 100% good-ole-boy creepy and doesn't resemble the accent of any of my friends with Indian parents. What a spectacular fail to reinvent yourself to appeal to the base of a dying party.
Otherwise, I'm really in awe of his intellect.
Do you really believe that hew grew up without having to deal with racism, ever? I thought that was such BS.
