This is great. The more they engage Stewart the stupider he makes them look. Don't they realize they can't win.
I think you mean "self deprecating." Or defecating?
Stewart had to make some fun of himself to disarm Kramer. What's Kramer gonna do if Stewart is already making fun of himself?
