Jim Cramer goes on The Today Show to respond to Jon Stewart responding to Jim Cramer responding to Jon Stewart

Ohhhhh...I am loving this feud. LOVING this feud! Stewart thinks Cramer is a full of horseshit windbag. Cramer thinks Stewart is just a "comedian." When will Cramer just get it over with and appear on The Daily Show for a steelcage deathmatch of the intellectual titans?!?! Just do it already!

I'm afraid I actually do need to side with Cramer a bit here. Granted, he comes across like a complete jackass BUT he has been one of the few "experts", stock-pickers, whatever you want to label him that has intermittently blown the whistle on what's been going on in the market. Cramer, like Stewart, is sort of playing a caricature of himself on Mad Money and the issue exists with how uneducated investors perceive his analysis, in many cases as if it were gospel. There's no denying the incredibly damaging effect that the media has played in perpetuating the herd mentality precipitating this crisis, not to mention every other societal woe in the past 30 years.

Anyways, I digress, I love Jon Stewart and thoroughly enjoy watching his show but I'm not sure Cramer is the best target for this justifiable assault. In fact, any one of the other bufoons on CNBC would be a better target, except maybe Erin Burnett since she's actually fairly balanced and at least seems intelligent. Any one of the other 'cheerleaders for the rich and greedy' on that network are more deserving of Stewart's ire, especially the asian guy who asked Sanford, "how's it feel to be a billionaire?" What an absolute jerk, I wonder if he even acknowledges how ridiculous that sounded in hindsight, I doubt it considering what a smug douchebag he seems to be...

Cramer reminds me of those gambling experts selling the locks of the week and screaming how they are 4-0 ATS.

Cramer is a bozo clown and he is going on the show, Thursday.

The fact is that Jon Stewart is needed to point out the stupidity of us all and the media makes it so easy for him. Seriously, why does the Today show or Cramer treat Stewart so seriously!

Remember the infamous Crossfire episode when Stewart called Tucker Carlson a dick. Stewart made an honest attempt to engage Begalla and Carlson in a serious conversation about why he thought Crossfires format and todays TV "journalism" (if you can call it that) was detrimental to the political process. Begalla and Carlson wanted nothing to do with it. With evaluating themselves and what they do objectively.

They should have Stewart on CNBC, he would get the same treatment as he did on crossfire. He would try to make his point and get shouted down.

As a trader I know that the people who make the really big money in the market are wrong 60-70% of the time. They just have a system to tell them they are wrong and they don't lose much money when they are wrong. You won't hear anything about that on CNBC though because they want you to think people should buy stocks and hold them forever. It is simply entertainment for Wall Street junkies. If you want to make money in the market whatever you do don't watch or read any financial news. I would bet it's even CNBC policy to not aggressively tell people to sell an S&P stock.

I'll say this, I respect Cramer a lot more for his apparent humility. CNBC has him and that fox Erin Burnett out trying to manage their bad press. Now if he would teach something valueable to investors on his show that would be real progress.
