This whole orgasmic birth thing almost makes me wish I could get knocked up

I just CAN'T imagine what I just saw! I was in labor for 27 hours and screaming. There was nothing (other than a healthy baby) that I wanted more than a 'natural' birth, but had to be in the hospital for medical reasons. I didn't want the epi, but after being in transition for 3 hours, my (female) doc asked if I could still be in labor for a few more hours and then push for a couple. At that point, I begged for an epi.
Wow. Just wow - I'm SO happy for women that have a happy childbirth, much less an orgasmic one!
never wouldve worked for my sis...who had 3 c sections because she is too small for natural child birth
had she not been in a hospital, she very well couldve died in childbirth
but im happy for the women who can do this
im sure that it makes them better mothers as they dont spend the rest of their lives giving guilt trips to their kids about all the pain they caused
I had two perfect childbirths with no anesthesia, but there was pain. I think the lady in the video was unique in that she is a modern dancer by training and avocation, so she is hyper in touch with her body.
This is primarily what I just learned--some amazingly beautuful women are married to some absolute dorks! Forgive me, I'm a pig.
Hahaha! I'm with Frankie on the whole "dorks" comment. That's a much nicer word than I would have chosen. ;)
Ha - Imagine my delight to see two old friends of mine on your blog! About Amber I will say, she practices A LOT of yoga and meditation and "moving energy" techniques and she's pretty aware, so it doesn't surprise me to see this about her. She also eats (or used to) mostly raw organic foods. So, she's super healthy and very balanced. She also doesn't have lots of "issues" like so many people, she's super positive. For her and Nassim, this kind of thing would be the norm, but for most people, well, I'm not so sure. It's a goal anyway, I just think you have to look at the whole picture of how a person's overall lifestyle affects things. But I love the water birth thing, so much better for mom and child. And what a happy baby to be born during such a childbirth of pleasure not pain. Natural childbirth advocate Joseph Chilton Pearce would be proud.
Just a few words: I'm as "unhealthy" as can be, but my no 2 was close to what was shown in the video. Very little pain, lots of niceness in a hot water tub. Only thing was, I had a strange feeling and asked the midwife to check out what was going on, so she got me up of the tub and on my back. That hurt like sh..
So I screamed get me out of here right now. But I was too late because the baby was already born - in five minutes.
These guys really know what they are doing. More people should listen to them.
No 1 was all in the hospital with labor and then an epidural etc, and that was ok too. I mean, having a baby is fantastic. But it's better without the pain.
the larders from suburbia new jersey? jesus christ! this is weird, and why is that beautiful woman with michael bolton's brother? sickening...
