An angry right-winger emailed this "lost" footage from some Chicago area cooking show in 2001 that features then State Senator Barack Obama discussing the "Dixie Kitchen and Bait Shop." They serve Dixie beer! He also warns against the perils of "Johnny cakes." I don't know why, but this is kinda funny to me...
For the record, I learned of the danger in ordering "Johnny cakes" from Vito Spatafore on The Sopranos, thank you very much.

What was the angry right wingers point. That Obama goes out to eat. I thought the meme was that he was an elitist that only ate arugala and drank lattes, or is this lost evidence that he took money from the "crappy public access tv" lobby. Or maybe its that he associates with the white-dredlocked lip piercing crowd.

@frankie gamwell...his "point" was along the lines of "oooh i should have voted for him because look how normal he is."
Over the years, prior to the long-ass election, I couldn't help but notice how much Obama beams when the attention is on him. It's cool though because he keeps it totally in check I think. But it is very interesting if you think about it how many presidents experienced varying degrees of emotional neglect as children.
