Picture of the day II

(via The Sugar Sheet)

The first thing that passed through my mind after seeing this image of a dead man's legs sticking out of a sheet of ice in a frozen elevator shaft in Detroit, is that the same thing could very easily happen in certain parts of New Orleans, if only it ever this cold down there.

this should not happen in a civilized country.. but, forgive me for this too-

I always wondered HOW one could be homeless in say, Buffalo, or Toronot or some freezing place.. in the winter. Seems more logical and smart to be homeless where the weather could be unpleasant but would not kill you.. like Los Angeles, or San Diego or Miami... or Phoenix...

sad story. No one should go like that.

Why is nothing done about this shit?

I don't want to be overly sensitive or anything, and don't we all knwo that I'd NEVER want to step on your toes, however, I have to tell you that this picture kinda disturbed me. Maybe I just think too much and took it a little too hard, but it really messed with my head tonight thinking about this. If you don't mind in the future, putting up a little warning or something, that'd be awesome caj.

here's another one of my 'inventions': there should be 'u store it's' for people. yes, you heard me right. a basic storage unit, climate controled, 8x6 you store yourself there w/facilities like a camp ground. there you go.
