The Anchorage Daily News admits developing a piece on the Palin fake baby thing, cites lack of cooperation by the Palins for stalling it
Earlier today the press office of the bat-shit crazy, fake baby birthing church lady Sarah Palin released a whiney-ass statement titled, "Governor Palin Says to Media, 'There You Go Again'," complaining about bloggers and the Internet and the media and the weather and the traffic in Juneau and Abe Vogoda, part of which read...
Meanwhile, bloggers, the Atlantic magazine and even the Anchorage Daily News continue to give credence to the sensational allegation that the governor’s child, Trig, is not hers.
“As a public official, I expect criticism and I expect to be held accountable for how I govern,” Gov. Palin said. “But the personal, salacious nature of recent reporting, and often the refusal of the media to correct obvious mistakes, unfortunately discredits too many in journalism today, making it difficult for many Americans to believe what they see in the media.”
Now before I go any further, let me just state that I'm endlessly perplexed as to why she keeps bringing all of this stuff up. Something has her feeling emboldened. Some have suggested that she's gone completely off the rails. But whatever.
What this press release did do was inspire an editor at the ADN to come forward with a statement and publish bits of an email exchange he recently engaged in with Palin herself. From The Editor's Blog on the paper's website...
On Dec. 31, eight days ago, I received an email from Gov. Palin asking several questions about news coverage in the Daily News. I took her inquiry seriously and by the end of the day had prepared a long email addressing each of her questions in detail.
This was her final question:
And is your paper really still pursuing the sensational lie that I am not Trig's mother? Is it true you have a reporter still bothering my state office, my very busy doctor (who's already set the record straight for you), and the school district, in pursuit of your ridiculous conspiracy?”
This was my reply:
Yes, it's true.
You may have been too busy with the campaign to notice, but the Daily News has, from the beginning, dismissed the conspiracy theories about Trig's birth as nonsense. I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity.
In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the "coverup." I have personally received more than a 100 emails accusing me and the paper of conspiring to hide the truth (about Trig’s birth.)
(I should acknowledge, however, that many people who commented on adn.com have alleged a coverup. Many of those were deleted as soon as we saw them, but many were not.)
I want to be very clear on this: I have from the beginning and do now consider the conspiracy theories about Trig's birth to be nutty nonsense.
If that's true, why has Lisa Demer been asking questions about Trig's birth?
Because we have been amazed by the widespread and enduring quality of these rumors. I finally decided, after watching this go on unabated for months, to let a reporter try to do a story about the "conspiracy theory that would not die" and, possibly, report the facts of Trig's birth thoroughly enough to kill the nonsense once and for all.
Lisa Demer started reporting. She received very little cooperation in her efforts from the parties who, in my judgment, stood to benefit most from the story, namely you and your family. Even so, we reported the matter as thoroughly as we could. Several weeks ago, when we considered the information Lisa had gathered, we decided we didn't have enough of a story to accomplish what we had hoped. Lisa moved on to other topics and we haven't decided whether the idea is worth any further effort.
Even the birth of your grandson may not dissuade the Trig conspiracy theorists from their beliefs. It strikes me that if there is never a clear, contemporaneous public record of what transpired with Trig's birth, that may actually ensure that the conspiracy theory never dies. Time will tell.
According to the “return receipt” feature of my email, my reply was opened shortly after I sent it on New Year’s Eve. Other than that, I have received no response or acknowledgement of that email.
So in summation it appears as though Palin has refused to cooperate with a news organization, which claims it's been trying to exonerate her, and then turns around and slams them for not doing enough to clear her of all the salacious allegations floating around.
Is it just me or does the distinctive stench of paranoia permeate the air right now?
And yet AGAIN, the question begs....WHY THE FUCK DON'T YOU JUST GET IT OVER WITH AND PROVIDE THEM WITH THE INFORMATION THEY NEED TO KILL ALL OF THE "RIDICULOUS CONSPIRACY" SPECULATION YOU FUCKWIT?!?!?!
And oh...one last thing...remember this? Um, yeah.

so basically, adn wanted to do a story about how we are all nutty as troofers, and palin and her administration refused to cooperate
even though it would prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that we conspiracy theorists are just filled with palin hate
hmmmmmm
@bacci40... you have to understand that they can never come forth and say anything but that, because it would set off a firestorm. it's a clever spin on why they'd have a reporter digging around.
I read that last night and thought of you right away, Cajun Boy. I would hope Ms. Demmer comes out soon with all of her information she has on Trig.
I'm suspicious of the SP quote because I don't believe she'd use the word salacious.
She keeps acting like she has offered some indisputable evidence that she is Trig's mother. She never has, not even close. When will someone call her on this in an interview? And aren't you glad you decided to name ADN and give out their email now, CB?
Bat-shittin crazier than ever.
We love you Sarah.
BTW has anyone seen photos of little Tripp yet, hmmmm.
Why doesn't the media come out and ask her the direct questions and ask her for proof to back up what she says? Everyone still tiptoes around the issue and refuses to put an end to this. Ask her to do a live interview with a real reporter and her doctor. Betcha she will refuse. Betcha.
Why in the hell did the Palin team click "yes" on return receipt?
I just want the truth to come out so that I can spend time not dwelling on her lies and know WE KNEW IT ALL ALONG!!!!
And, the really important part of all of this and why we have all been obsessing and wanting the truth to come out, is hopefully we won't have to worry about her National Political future.
You're one of the few men willing to follow this story. NOt sure what that says about your manhood, but thank you, CB. You're the man.
SHOW ME THE BABY!!!!! (a la Cuba Gooding Jr.)
This site has broken down pictures of SP which clearly show they were shopped.
...there are more.

..there are openings to all the pic diagrams, some at the bottom of each pic page.
ADN knows this, now.
Some guy as yet unidentified set these pic up.
He first appears in whats called "3amigos".
He appears in two pic...
One on that site and one...elsewhere(for now).
I love you Cajun Boy, and I am with you 100% on this issue. However, "beg the question" does NOT mean "to ask the question"! Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Begging_the_question
and stop perpetuating the misuse of a perfectly good rhetorical device. :)
I was just popping over here to see if you'd seen the ADN piece, and the Palin press release that started it off....
I highly encourage you to spend some time at

Yellowgirl
What??? when has she or her "very busy doctor" set anybody straight??? very busy doing what, avoiding lawsuits??
Yes, CajunBoy, that IS paranoia and it makes me quite gleeful! When I thought of Palin and this whole morass, I used to think, bad greek tragedy, second-rate faulkner, but I've settled on not-too-shabby Edgar Allen Poe--you know, heart beats and all that.
Mary g.
salacious? said by Sp? no chance.
cb,
are you saying that they believed us? we, the crazy anonymous bloggers?
wacky man.
but let me play devils advocate.
i believe that sarah palin is a narcissistic sociopath and to her, any publicity is good.
if she proves that the kid is hers, about 100 blogs immediatly go poof.
traffic to alaskan blogger sites dries up
any care about what sarah fed the baby that morning goes bye bye
so,because she wants to run in 2012, she lets the rumors fester
while other pols like crazy ron paul dissapear into the woodwork...sarah stays on the front of everyones mind
I went through our baby book this weekend and found photos and things that I could use to prove my daughter is really mine. Pictures in the delivery room (c-section) holding the new baby. I have the hospital bracelets and the sign from the crib. I could show the CVS genetic report, which is dated.
Easy, without the Birth Cert.
Best case is that she was so upset that SHE had to deal with a DS baby that she took no pictures and didn't take home any of the things other mothers take, like the bracelets.
Cajun - Appreciate your staying power. Any chance you are aware of the dates ADN reporter LD was 'looking into' this? On 10/30/08 ADN editor posted:
"Here's the deal: "...We haven't been investigating this. We have no "investigative report" in our hands..."
Now technically they may not have had an "investigative report" in hand. But to say they were not investigating? What gives?
How simple would it be to have licensed physician
Baldwin-Johnson simply state for the record:
"I CBJ attended Governor SP at Mat Su Regional
Medical Center on 4/18/08 as she gave birth
to baby boy, Trig Palin. Also in attendance were
Mat Su staff (add names)."
End of story. CBJ is a credible, licensed physician, who put at risk her practice, research, license etc. if she engaged in falsification.
Palin supporters call on the Governor to issue the statement and CBJ corroborate it. End of story.
Why not? One good reason, why not?
