Never eat at a BBQ joint whose ads insult your Southern sensibilities
I ran across this commercial for Daisy Mae's BBQ when I was watching "When Nature Strikes" on the Discovery Channel last night. The waitress at the end offers up what may be the worst impression of a Southern accent I've ever heard. Therefore, I shall never dine at Daisy Mae's BBQ, ever, because in my mind, if they can't get the accent right, how the hell are they going make a rub to put on the meat that's even close to being authentic?

Ugh, awful, do they not know it is pronounced Bar Be Que, never ever bbq.
OMG, you were not even kidding a little bit. That was fucking horrific. Seriously. At first I thought she was trying to do an British accent.
Her "Southern Accent" was so bad, I thought she was attempting a "British Accent"!
I HATE the commercials, but the food is actually pretty good, and they have the best sweet tea in the city.
This commercial forces the shouting of expletives. They will never get my business.
isn't she Australian, or Kiwi?
Amen! Perhaps I will find some empathy among these posters for my never ending desire to choke the life out of Tom Hanks for Forest Gump.

That was a New England accent butchering an attempt at a Southern accent. This is worse than the Americans attempting the Australian accent on "The Simpsons."
horrible, low-budget commericals notwithstanding, I live in H-K and eat at this place when I can. The food is pretty damn solid
THANK YOU! I've been bothered by this half-assed Southern/British (?) accent for at least a year. I'm glad you stood up and made your readers take notice.
The food is pretty good there, though.
