While we sit patiently waiting for those medical records...
At the heart of the titanic nuttiness surrounding the bat-shit crazy, fake baby birthing church lady Sarah Palin's alleged birth of her fifth child Trig, and I've said this time and time again, is that kooky ass trip she took from Alaska to Dallas and back again after she claimed that she'd broken her water and entered active labor. A recent post by the website/blog Palin's Deceptions, a site written by a labor and childbirth coach devoted entirely to making some sense of this whole non-sensical matter, delved into the biological aspects of Palin's story in a recent lengthy post. An excerpt...
The single specific piece of information that we have that has caused the most scrutiny of her birth saga is that she traveled back from Texas to Alaska on April 17th leaking amniotic fluid. Yet, she has never once, as far as I can tell, been asked pointed questions about the very real specifics of this. It would be a bit like someone calling in sick at work because he has cut his arm very badly, then never showing any physical signs - like blood, or stitches, or going to the doctor, that it ever happened, yet being defensive about having to "prove" it.
The leaking of amniotic fluid is an indisputable, unmistakable sign of the onset of labor. Flying at eight months of pregnancy is ill-advised. Flying at eight months with leaking amniotic fluid is insane, particularly for a woman who has boasted about her easy (past) births.
If Palin's story is completely true, if she is Trig's mother, and everything happened the way she has claimed, she took utterly unacceptable medical risks with her infant's life. She did not have him checked when her membranes ruptured, to rule out the possibility of cord prolapse. She would have had to be dressed and to comport herself in a way that would have increased the chances of infection for almost 24 hours. She risked having to give birth with no medical assistance in the aisle of an airplane. She risked disrupting the travel plans of hundreds of other people. And, if Palin's story is completely true, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson should lose her medical license.
If Palin's story is partially true, what parts are a lie? My guess would be that she had no contact at all with Baldwin-Johnson, at least prior to their layover in Seattle. It's a complete fabrication that she called her doctor from Texas. She took utterly reckless chances with her baby's safety as well as the comfort of everyone else on the airplane... and she beat the odds. And THIS is why Cathy Baldwin Johnson has appeared to cut off most contact with Palin and her crazy birth story... because Palin's lies have actually jeopardized Balwin-Johnson's professional reputation. She can't come clean about the birth without telling the world that Palin is a liar. She's reluctant to do that. While I admire loyalty, in this case I would say it's misplaced.
If Palin's story is entirely a lie, and the physical realities of membrane rupture which I have seen and dealt with countless times make me lean very strongly in that direction, then the only answer is she was never pregnant at all.

A Biology Lesson
On a related note, where the fuck is Bristol? Have they allowed her to come out of hiding yet? And why did they even have her in hiding in the first place? I mean, everyone knows she's pregnant, right? So why have they kept her out of the public eye the way that they have?
And hey, she's eight months preggers now so that means that she should be dropping that little one any day now. Has anyone seen any recent pictures of her? If so, please alert me to them (cajunboyinthecity at gmail dot com).
And has anyone seen Bristol and Levi together in public since the convention? I sure as fuck can't seem to recall seeing such even once? I wonder what's up with that? Kinda amazing that not a single one of the 90 bazillion reporters she gave interviews to in the last week or so bothered to ask about them and how they're doing as they prepare to bring a child into the world AND get married, don't ya think? Isn't that just all kinds of funny? Hmmm...

you are so right CB!!!! Now that we are all settling into the overwhelming relief we felt after the election there are still a lot of unanswered questions re: Mrs Palin! i think the people of Alaska will insist on those answers and i for one am going to keep up with those answers on the mudflats blog. I thought your comment on her physicians license is interesting. That angle had never occurred to me and that may be the way to get at the truth is to challenge her right to practice. Love the way your mind works!!!
Apparently Bristol was in Florida with her mom earlier this month, seen poolside at the Biltmore Hotel:

Seems Bristol is also willing to travel quite far from home within 6 weeks of her anticipated due date?!? No mention of Levi lately at all, though...
She showed up on election night believe it or not, looking absolutely haggard.

To twoeightnine:
Caption of that photo is incorrect. The young woman at the left is actually Willow, not Bristol.
I'm fairly certain the election night photo is of Willow, not Bristol, despite the photo's caption. Willow has a widow's peak; Bristol doesn't.

To anonymous at 7:31--that was one day after the election; for some reason it was only posted this week.
Why aren't some alaskans willing to break the story? someone who worked at Mat-Su that night/morning? come on, saying Palin was or wasn't in the hospital is not against HIPAA. Don't they have janitors?
And I love the part of the Texas/Alaska trip, where Palin says she just *had* to give the luncheon speech, but she "decided" to skip the reception--like that was something to consider, given her labor and all!!!! "I can give one kick-ass energy speech while in labor, but forget the small talk over cocktails" (governor, did you spill that drink??? why is there a puddle under you???)

The Washington Times report was referring to the November 6th post-election 'vacation' that the Palin family and friends took in Phoenix on the way home to Wasilla.
The good news, if you can take anything 'good' from this article, is that at least Bristol is FINALLY mentioned. Despite all the humilation she's suffering at the hands of her Machiavellian mama, at least the poor girl gets to sit poolside and eat cheeseburgers before flying home to face reality, however that may be defined by SP.
Note that she is now nearly the same week of pregnancy that her mom "was" when she made her miraculous midnight dash to Alaska to take delivery of, uh I mean deliver, baby Trig. Like mother, like daughter. No one should be flying this late in pregnancy. But what the heck. At least this time, someone has actually seen a pregnant belly on one of the Palin women.

I work in a hospital. If a patient doesn't want to be listed in the 'directory' that means even if their mother shows up and asks what room they're in you can't tell them, flowers and cards will be returned, your pastor will be turned away, the doctor will not discuss your care with your family...all to protect your privacy if that's your wish. Anyone discussing a patient in a public area such as an elevator or a lunchroom can be fired. That's why nobody is talking.

There is ONE recent picture of Bristol - and she looks pretty huge on it - like a pregnant woman, actually!! Not like Sarah in March 2008...

The picture was taken in the wardrobe of SNL on 18 October 2008.
I have put a larger collection of pictures regarding Sarah Palin's pregnancy in this photostream:

Levi is trying to figure a way to get to the lower 48 without arousing suspicion.
I don't think these two are getting married in the near future.
