Joe the Plumber, propped up just a few short weeks ago by Fox News and the Republican party as some iconic symbol of American averageness deserving of heroic worship and praise, has joined forces with some online outfit called velocitystore.com in an effort to sell electronics to old people, going so far as to implore that the conversion from analog to digital TV by Feb. 2009 is a matter of national security, which in Joe the Plumber code speak means that if you don't upgrade your shit today, that black/negro/muslim/arab/terrorist president of ours is probably going to allow Bin Laden to blow up the local VFW hall where they play bingo every Wednesday and Saturday night. America, we’ve never had a transition of this magnitude in the United States. The DTV transition affects the public safety of the United States, so it’s imperative that all Americans come together and learn all we can about the DTV transition.
