We get letters!

Sometimes this here blog just writes itself. Case in point, this email I received over the weekend from an ardent McCain/Palin supporter/redneck shitstain. Prepare to lose your mind...

How can you fuckers be so wrong about everything?

You fags are wrong on killing babies but want terrorists to live because the war is too expensive !

You idiots want to stifle businesses and hard working people by overtaxing their asses so lazy welfare niggers can get bigger checks and steel your shit if you dare walk thru there hood at night in New Orleans.

You morons want to gut the military so terrorists and illegals can murder us while you are trying to negotioate with them by saying "mr terrorist can't we all just get along, drink some of this kool-aid---it's good shit!".

You dumbassed liberals like Obama don't want to drill for oil that we have lots of, they just want us to air up our tires, tune up our busted ass rigs and keep sending 700 Billion per year to the middle east so they can kill us faster!

You queer lovers also think well let's just let fags and dykes get married---that's totally normal.

You morally bankrupt foolish blasphemous liberals also say there is no God, we probably just showed up from a big ass bang and then we showed up from monkeys. Oh yeah that makes total sense!

The bottom line is that the TRUTH has no impact on your thoughts or actions of you stupid liberals. If you liberals had jobs and contributed in any way to society I think you might be able to see things our way but since you have no earnings and pay no taxes then you think you should decide how to spend the tax dollars that WE pay!

Again, you dumb fuckers are on the wrong side of everything and all ya'll can come up with is:

Palin had a fake retard cause her daughter got caught fuckin'.

McCain's old.

Palin's clothes cost too much!

Palin took her kids on a trip and Alaska had to pay for it.

McCain don't even know how many houses his old lady owns.

Palin tried to get her brother in law fired.

McCain can't lift his arms high enough.

Palin is too hot to be the VP.

Damn have ya'll ever listened to yourselves. PATHETIC!!!!!!

Rereading it again, once the initial shock wears off, there are actually a couple of comedic nuggets in there. The "Palin had a fake retard..." line made me laugh a bit.

But Goddamn does this country have some epic dipshits residing in it, no?

The letter looks more like a joke than something from a hard-core McShame supporter.

More importantly, any more news on when (if ever) that Palin story will break, and where? Been holding my breath all weekend.

Holy Christ. It's people that that which make me stop and think, "Man, haven't we evolved those people out of society yet?"

Yikes.

That's awesome, but where's the 'bombshell piece on the Palin family"? We want an update on that.

Wow. Is that a backwoods relative of Hasselbeck?

I await in anxious anticipation the McCain/Palin endorsement of the sponsorship of this "real American." They are well deserving of his support.

It astounds me how this person represents even ONE American with this tripe, a single spokesperson for the opinion held by many more whose ignorance and bigotry is presented in their pretense for a counter-balance in an election.

I wished this election would prove to actually be a debate about the policies. The McCain/Palin camp and its supporters have continued to make it oh so much less. Intelligent design at its best. NOT.

So the big bad liberals don't have jobs and pay taxes? So how do they explain the "liberal media" and that bastion of liberal propaganda, institutions of higher learning? Colleges are a hotbed of those scary liberals but the professors are volunteers? Reporters work for free?

That makes about as much sense as anything else those dimwits claim.

"steel" your shit sounds painful.

Never mind the fact that my neighbor (and block captain) wrote you in his best English, let's get back to more pressing matters. What about your Friday teaser regarding the soon to be breaking tell all investigative nugget involving the white rash in the White House baby/grandbaby? It's Monday now, and I want that story!

Never mind this well-written erudite example of my neighbor (the block captain's) views. What ever happened to that nugget you promised us regarding the white trash in the White House lady and the curious case of the baby/grandbaby. I've been up all weekend waiting ...

I disagree. Were it not for us, what would he have to rant about?

Sounds like he got all the way through the 5th grade before his Pa took him to a KKK rally for his real edumacation. It was good for an eye roll and chuckle or two. That part about STEELin shit sounds painful.

I see this person utilized his thesaurus but needed some spellchecking. I pay taxes and I don't complain. I probably pay more taxes in a year than this angry person has paid in a lifetime. I enjoy having clean water, paved streets, a freeway system, police, fire, clean food in stores, schools, public transportation, clean air, medical research, television, radio...all these things we take for granted. that our tax dollars have funded or helped fund. I've been in the 3rd world countries where every day people have to walk on dusty roads barefoot to haul their water and forage for food, they have no medical facilities or even clean water to drink. Maybe the angry person needs to go live in a 3rd world country where he/she can skip paying taxes and then they will learn appreciation for what their tax dollars pay for. I love my country and I'm a liberal (Look the word up in your dictionary angry person)

I really wish that the illegals would get around to killing these people already.

I have now lived in texas and louisiana for a solid quarter-century. I meet people who could have authored that letter EVERY DAY. Must be all that clean southern livin' and god-fearin' that causes folks to become caucasian fucktard neanderthals.

A hundred bucks says this letter author-idiot has never paid a dime in income tax outside of social security.

Emma said...

I'd like to believe it's real for the comedic value...but I just can't. "fake retard" is just too priceless. I must call bullshit.

I must, because to believe it's real would just be way too depressing.

My favorite thing about not having a job (besides not having to pay taxes) is that I get to spend all my time drinking expensive coffee and eating fancy arugula.

lisa said...

Yeah but it's scary and troubling to me at the same time. I don't think any of us realized just how intellectually polorized the republicans are to us, no? We argue with them over...just about everything!...then talk amongst ourselves about how dipshit crazy they all seem to be, but does it not bother anyone else that they actually BELIEVE everything their saying? This just seems to be the point I'm at now, totally bewildered and confused by them to the point where, yes I still laugh at their dumbness, but now afterwords I am left staring into space trying to figure it all out. This is really starting to bother me! Has it always been this way or what?

and that's why the Anchorage Daily News has endorsed Obama! Headlines read "Palin's rise captivates us but nation needs a steady hand" http://www.adn.com/opinion/story/567867.html

Shel said...

This letter HAS to be a joke intended to make McCain supporters look like... well... retards. The only thing that letter convinces me of is that we did, in fact, "show up" from monkeys. Some of us more recently than others.

The Cajun Boy said...

@shel...i can assure you that the person who wrote this is a bona fide right-winger who truly believes what he wrote. i say that because i've received other emails from him in the past. however, i do think that he may have been attempting to be humorous in a couple of spots, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he truly believes in the things he wrote.

Lisa brings up a good point. Both political parties have become so polarized they can't deal with one another, hence the stagnant mess that is Congress. The extremists of both parties are in control so there is no hope for common ground. I'm certainly not a democrat but I'm not sure I'm a republican anymore either. I predict that by the 2012 elections, we will have a meaningful independent party in this country. The moderates are sick and tired of all the bickering and nastiness between the parties. Can't we agree to ban partial birth abortions and assault rifles and move on to more important issues?

The Asian Girl said...

wow, i'm from Northwest Florida (AKA Lower Alabama) and that definitely fits the beliefs of some of our finer citizens. God, I need to graduate and get the fuck out.

back@cajun boy:

I was afraid you might say that. To be honest, I'm trying hard to be in denial because people like this frighten me. I actually have family and aquaintances who sound like this, so I'm well aware they do indeed exist and are a thick-skulled force to be reckoned with.

Cajun Boy I love your blog.

Lots of good insights, very comedic, great take on life in New York for us transplants.

But the election...well there is enough serious writing, comedic writing, tv parodies, blogs, op-eds, you tube animation....

I'd love it if you would go back to what you do best and leave the election to the pundits...or at least to those that are a bit more politically minded.

We get it. You support Obama. None of your writing on this topic has been particularly compelling or original. Or frankly, interesting.

I mean it in the nicest way, Cajun Boy.

sam said...

Amen Isolationtzar. CB, your writings of late make you look like a liberal version of the redneck you are mocking. You sound just as stupid, just with a liberal slant.

The Cajun Boy said...

@isolationtzar...please take a minute to read this...

http://cajunboyinthecity.blogspot.com/2008/10/note-from-your-humble-editor.html

@sam...if i sound so stupid, then why do you continue to read and comment on a regular basis?

Grace said...

My personal favorite...

"we probably just showed up from a big ass bang"

Last I checked you can't reproduce this way.

isolationtzar said...

Cmon, Cajun Boy...surely you are not 'flummoxed'. That's facile and disingenuous.

It's wearing thin, even by your own admission. You dont strike me as thin skinned and for my part, I genuinely intend my comments as the highest form of praise.

By all means dont narrow your focus or let others dictate content. Please run free little pony and post on any ALL topics that interest you. That's why I love your blog...such a smorgasborg of interesting observations and insights.

But...the election stuff IS narrowing your focus and the content of the blog.

I appreciate you referring me to your previous post on the topic of election writing...but that's kinda the point....

I dont WANT to read anything else you have to say about the election. It's wearing thin...

And please dont respond....all pissy 'you're not the boss of me and you dont pay my bills'.

I think my point is a valid one, and it's well intended.

And I mean it IN THE NICEST POSSIBLE WAY. Again.

Your fan,

Isolationtzar

Cajun Boy - I love you! There's nothing better than laughing out loud after reading a blog post. Thanks for making my night again :)

In his small mind, I wonder how idiocy and bigotry are considered patriotic? Wow. Pulling all the money out of education seems to work well for keeping the Republicans in office. Here's hoping for a change.

Your right, I need to stop reading this blog. You've become the Perez Hilton of politics, parroting every vicious rumor you can find. You've definitely jumped the shark.

The Cajun Boy said...

@sam..."the perez hilton of politics." that's very fucking funny. but hey, you are entitled to your opinion, though i do take issue with the accusation that i parrot every vicious rumor out there...i can honestly say that nothing is further from the truth. can you cite an example or two of this for me please?
