Pathetic McCain campaign workers will do pathetically desperate things to support increasingly pathetic campaign

Hey, did you hear about the McCain campaign worker person in Pittsburgh who claimed to have been beaten up and had a letter "B" carved into her face by some scary black man because he saw that she had a McCain bumper sticker on her car?

Sure you did, right? All the right-wing talking heads were using it to prove their "our supporters aren't near as crazy as yours are" theories. Drudge had a screaming red headline on his website for almost 24 hours. The VP of Fox News stated that this could be a turning point because it would cause voters to rethink how well they knew the real Barack Obama, as if Obama himself would be viewed as guilty of having committed the crime himself by race proxy or some shit.

Well, guess what? The whole thing was a pathetic, race-baiting hoax! From KDKA in Pittsburgh...

Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.

Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.

Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test.

Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test.

Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction."

This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story.

The fact that the "B" was carved backwards into her face, sort of like it was done in a mirror, kinda gave it away for me. However, I'm sure that McCain and Palin will still exploit this incident in their stump speeches. After all, Joe the Plumber was proven to be a hoax and they still go around blowing that fucking horn.

And my friend Conor has already called dibs on the Ashley Todd Halloween costume idea.

The last time I had reason to know anything about attackers writing on people (in the police academy) we were told that there has never been a documented case where it actually happened. In every instance investigated it is a hoax. That may have changed, but it's still a HUGE red flag in an assault report.

Somebody capitalize me. I wanna print T-shirts that say "Why use a hatchet when you need a scalpel?" and then print "Vote Obama" with a backwards "B"

2. Tarty, well dressed air head
3. Plumber dude
4. Beat up sicko chick.

Rumor has it that she gave up the names of other McCain staffers who helped her orchestrate the whole thing.

I have no evidence this is true, just that it is being said by others right now.

We will see how it plays out in the media in the next 2 days.
