"So Sambo beat the bitch"
According to an Alaskan waitress, the quote in the subject line was Sarah Palin's response to Hillary Clinton's defeat at the hands on Barack Obama in the Democratic primary.
Read the whole article in LA Progressive. It's positively chilling...
Alaskans speak (In a frightened whisper): Palin is "Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, and Mean"

I read that the other day and was hoping for some verification. I hate that no one gives their name.
@laura. They all seem to be afraid of retribution by her and her party.
I've been trying to figure out why this woman has fascinated me. I think I've finally figured it out. She scares the sh*t out of me, and if McCain wins, she, somehow, will be sworn in as the next Prez, since he's so old. I want these scandals to be all true to show her and her party's hypocrisy. Her being sexist & racist doesn't surprise me in the bit.
It is also really scaring me that after McCain revealed her as the candidate, all these sites which had photos of her and her family are being scrubbed, they're rewriting her history. It all feels very surreal. If they're able to scrub her skeletons in her closet, just imagine what these people can do to someone who opposes her, or opposes anyone in the Neocon party (It no longer should be called the Republican party. Republicans are respectable. These people....I don't know what they are, but they're not in any way respectable...)
Hopefully, of all things, the National Enquirer will be able to get to the bottom of this.....aaaand I can't believe I just wrote that last line....
"Sambo" is just as bad as the "N" word in this context. Which one would expect she has not laid to rest either.
We used to respect our highest leaders (and potential leaders) as, at the very least, well educated, well qualified, and BETTER than us. The cream is supposed to rise to the top in America. Somehow this is getting turned upside down, and its the Republicans - the claimed protectors of the ideal of success by individual merits - who are destroying the unspoken principles that we just take for granted. Its funny when Jesse Ventura or someone like that getting elected to a fairly high office, but we never expected that to infect the presidency, did we?
what a cunt...i can't wait 'til they lose.
Ohhhh. I get it. You people are f'ing lunatics! How'd ya'll escape the Kos swamps?
hey thar, hitlernonymous. stop googling "sambo beat the bitch," cuz its everywhere.
Interesting article in the Seattle Times -- thought I'd share:

I despise this woman. She terrifies me.
@Caj--check out John Gray's "Black Mass" for a fascinating discussion of American neoconservatism and its messianic worldview. Gray is a conservative British philosopher, and he sees the neocons as a right-wing version of the generally leftish ideological tradition of trying to save the world from itself, by force if necessary. His thesis is neither provable nor disprovable, but that doesn't make it any less interesting.
Sarah Palin was an odd choice for VP, whether she was chosen just to get McCain into the White House or to put a "McCain brand" on the Republican Party. Obama, like Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Bob Dole, chose a VP candidate who would be deeply involved in governing and have immediate credibility as President. McCain, like John Kerry and George H.W. Bush, didn't choose such people.
If McCain thought that choosing Palin as his VP will somehow remake the Republican Party, he is almost certainly wrong. If McCain and Palin lose, she will have a hard time being taken seriously in 2012. Mike Huckabee and Bobby Jindal appeal to the same voter profile as Palin, and they come off as more credible (though Jindal has been far more ideologically hard-edged than I anticipated). Also, the same constituencies and interest groups that influence that party will remain long after McCain and Palin fade into the sunset.
This article is a complete joke. No serious journalist or commentator would write such trash. No verification. No named sources. No evidence. Just a bunch of anonymous hearsay. Anyone of us could just as easily write the same type of story about Obama with the same amount of credibility. This is garbage.
Why would anyone try to sling mud with this unsubstantiated comment? I found more than enough reasons to despise her with proven/factual information.
....and I think that baby Trig is really her grandchild. Keep digging. :)
i dont like hearsay articles
what i like is that none of the vids with palin and stevens have been scrubbed from youtube and palin welcoming in the 2008 aip convention is still up.

True or not true, the fact that I can believe it is true speaks volumes about this woman and how she has presented herself so far. I'm not scared of her, that would be giving her too much credit. She wants you to be scared and cowering and unable to do anything.
And about this bounce in the polls showing that it's mostly white women coming over to the McCain camp--I don't believe it for a second. I believe those are the same white women who were going to vote for her anyway, they've just openly committed because their too stupid to see they've been condescended to. Is it because she's a mother? Everybody running for office is a damn parent--what makes her so special.
People need to stop being sidetracked by the lie that McCain is somehow miraculously the better candidate because he got some snarky sidekick from a backwater town who has yet to give an interview (mostly because the McCain campaign is at this moment feeding her lines). There is way too much dirt on her to scrub all of it clean and we should pound the airwaves with it 24/7. Do you really want this woman helping to legislate your morals?
It's time the Democrats punch "I'm an ex POW" McCain and that loud mouthed idiot Palin right in their stupid mouths (figuratively speaking of course). I want the gloves off.
And that hypocritical yahoo needs to go back to Alaska and take care of her damn kids (and before everyone starts whining about bashing her because she's a woman, I'd say the same thing if it was her husband--who probably has just as many credentials as she does).
