The Nazis will save the lost art of letter writing!

Over the weekend I received an email from a reader who works for a publishing house. In his email he mentioned that a British writer by the name of Paul Roland had published a book with one of his company's imprints titled, Nazis and the Occult, a work that compares and examines the similarities between The Third Reich and religious cults, among other things, more specifically the methods of mind control they employ(ed) to turn their followers into willing sheep.

His email came attached with a copy of a hand-written letter, dated July 12, 2008, that was mailed to the offices of the publisher for Mr. Roland. The author of the letter was someone who'd read the book and had some issues with it. This is part of what the reader said in his email to me about it...

I think this letter does need to be shared, if for no other reason than as a careful reminder that not everyone has the same thought process. Or, to be blunt, a careful reminder that some people are, well, bat-shit crazy!

I agree! So here is the letter, which was mailed anonymously and postmarked as being mailed from Jacksonville, Florida, in its entirety. Not only is it jolting for the fact that there are people out there who still sympathize with Nazis to this day (Nazis? Really?!?!), but also for the fact that it's handwritten. The mere concept of there being Nazis in modern America is one thing, but to read the demented rantings of one in her own handwriting is something all the more impactful, I think.

I've transcribed some of my personal favorite parts beneath each the four pages. I've read this thing from beginning to end multiple times and I still can't quite figure out of it's someone's idea of a joke or if it's legit crazy. Try to keep in mind that this is, according to what she says, an adult woman making a living as an artist (Just like Hitler was in his pre-murderous dictator days!) in these very United States of America.

Your book "The Nazis and the Occult" is silly. It is also crap. First of all, Hitler was sexy. Churchill was UGLY!

Churchill? EUUWW! You think he was a good man? He was a gangster like Al Capone. Chicago-Bang-Bang! I love that picture of him holding a Tommy Gun with his hat crooked. That's the real Winston Churchill. He is so GAY!



This "Satan" talk and occult stuff is just your attempt to make Hitler look bad to us. I am familiar with your English publications. They make ours look like bibles! The smut you guys print about your own leadership is worse than ours. Why don't you write a book about Barack Obama? He's that black moron who showed up out of nowhere to run for president here. Maybe he is "Satanic?"

You never knew Hitler, yet you write all this silly crap you cannot prove. How do you know what an unknown artist puts up with? I know for a fact that in his position, being an artist, how fucking humiliating it is to have to stand in the street, day after day, trying to make a few pennies, selling art to uncaring, stingy bourgeois assholes.



My Dad is worse than Hitler. He bent us and abused us eventually caused my Mom to die. He was a Jew. If the Jews in Germany were anything like my dad, they deserved what they got.

You wrote that Germany "deserved what they got." I think maybe so did the Jews. Every time I am around a Jew, or date one, or do business with one, I get fucked over. In fact, the Jew I dated in Florida a few years ago was such the type Hitler met that caused him to hate them. This guy always put me down, harassed me, stalked me & got me in trouble all over town.

His name is Merrill Paul Roland. Almost as close as your name! If you're anything as vengeful & vindictive as this "Roland." I won't be surprised. So you'll understand if I won't identify myself. I'm sick of vengeful people. And Jews are the worst.

(ED. NOTE...A quick Google search found that a Merrill Paul Roland is currently running for a county commission seat in St. Augustine, FL.)



I used to get called "Nazi" & "White Supremacist" by the spics just for putting out my American flag, as if it were a threat. Shameful. Hell, I should have left the USA when I was in my twenties. I guess I got spoiled by living in this cushy country.

I don't care what Hitler, or the SS, or whatever Nazi did in the war. All I know is, he cared about Germans. I'll never know why my asshole of a father did not go to Auschwitz instead of a decent Jewish man. Assholes always escape, I guess.
