"I'm sorta scared of the other race cuz we have so much conflict with 'em"

This is what America is up against. Hailing from the deep South, this shouldn't phase me, but it does. In fact, it shames me. I know these people and the attitudes they exhibit all too well. Regardless of your ideological persuasion, I dare you to disagree with me that this sort of pervasive idiocy isn't a cancer on us all.

America, meet some of the people of from the "key swing state" of West Virginia...

Now watch Pat Buchanan go ape-shit on Chris Matthews earlier tonight for insinuating that West Virginia voters isn't aren't the most progressive lot.

And Keith Olbermann gave another "Special Comment" tonight, and as usual, it was pretty golden. On even my most eloquent day, I could never express indignation so aptly.

It's pretty damn funny hearing the media falling all over themselves talking about Obama's "problem" with white, rural, working-class voters. C'mon, guys, come out and say it "why aren't the rednecks voting for the black guy?" The infuriating thing is that these people seem to hold more sway with the media...these are the hard working, "values" voters, the non-elitists, the salt of the earth....give me a fucking break.

Wow. Twelve minutes of uncomfortable but necessary outrage. That was like therapy in a way. Phew! I'm curious how Olbermann plays internationally. I have to find that out.
