god loves prostitutes

occasionally, god and i chat about whatever's on our minds, via IM of course. we spoke this morning. here is the transcript...

me: yo, you there?

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: i'm always here.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: :)

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: what's on your mind kid?

me: what else? the spitzer thing. i'm caught up in it. waist deep. deep enough that the undercurrent could totally drag me in and wash over me if i'm not careful.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: yeah, i know. sad, sad story there.

me: I KNOW! but you know who i find myself feeling most sorry for?

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: do tell...

me: well, by now you've likely heard about the unmasking of the prostitute, "kristen," at the epicenter of the eliot spitzer scandal. her actual name, which was first reported last night in the new york times but is now seemingly everywhere on the web, is ashley alexandra dupre. there's even a fake tumblr page for her already, and she's following me! last night gawker's ryan tate found her myspace page and, in what promises to be round the clock coverage of the young lass over the next few days, poached a few pictures from it here, in what they call "kristen: the definitive gallery." for whatever reason, this picture kinda got me...

me: supposedly she's holding her niece in the pic.

me: she looks like a sweet girl, like somebody's daughter.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: she is somebody's daughter!

me: that's true. how soon we forget!

me: as you can imagine, people all over the internet and on the radio and television seem to be piling on this girl today and she's getting gangbanged in ways that she never imagined. the media is swarming around her apartment building. and i have to admit, i feel very sorry for her.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: your sympathy is noted and well-deserved, but you just had to make a gangbang joke, didn't you?

me: i couldn't help myself. sorry.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: forgiven.

me: but seriously, i feel so sorry for her! based on what we know about her, ashley dupre ran away from a broken home at 17, one in which she may have been abused in some way and was apparently homeless for a spell. at some point, she turned to prostitution to support herself.

me: wtf?!?!

me: i can't even begin to imagine the internal torment that one goes through to reach a decision that prostitution is the only way out of desperation!

me: but you know what...if i were young and pretty and homeless and desperate and equipped with a vagina...i'd at least think about it. with the kind of money out there rich men are willing to toss around for a romp, fuck yeah i'd think about it!

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: as well you should.

me: ???

me: you'd still love me if i were a prostitute? you surprise me sometimes.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: of course i would. god loves prostitutes. remember, mary magdalene was a prostitute, at least according to your bible she was.

me: that's true. i forgot about that!

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: look my son, i made all of you, and in doing so i wired you all with incredibly strong sex drives so that you would procreate and so that the species would live on. as a result, people are apt to engage in behavior which society deems "immoral" when it comes to sex outside of a relationship. i didn't create monogamy and marriage and all that goes with it. you all down there did. and so now when a man or a woman isn't getting what he or she is pre-wired to desire and strays from their partner to get it, shadows are cast upon them, as well as the person who was there to satisfy their desires.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: in other words, i created the demand!

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: and i also created the supply.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: so who am i to pass judgment upon them? and who the hell do the rest of you think you are for doing so? i happen to know that none of your houses are made of glass, so why throw stones?

me: you're totally right? but does that mean i need to not judge spitzer as well? because i kinda like hating on him!

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: you most certainly may not. he's a man, a human, and he has fallen, just like you have in the past and will continue to do. everyone falls. some people just do so more spectacularly than others.

me: as always, you're so right. i'm sorry for judging. i will say a hail mary in repentance.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: fuck the hail mary! forget about that. if you really want to do something good, go over and throw silda spitzer a good bang. she needs it right now. it'll help ease the pain.

me: god i love you!

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: and i do you too son.

me: hey, one bright side to all of this, ashley's songs are for sale online and are rapidly climbing the charts. what an ironic twist that her dream of being a pop singer are being realized out of such a nightmare.

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: well, i'm not surprised. god works in mysterious ways, remember?

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: ;)

me: hehehehe

ahardmanisgoodtofind69: and just as god loves prostitutes, you people down there love your pop stars to be prostitute-y. have you seen christina aguilera lately?

have you fibbed or embellished for a fuck? if so, you might be a rapist!!!

well, in massachusetts, if a certain law passes, we're all rapists now! i mean, come on, who hasn't fibbed about something at some point in their lives to lure someone into bed?

men: "no, i promise, i don't have a wife or girlfriend!"

women: "well, i never do this. i've never had a one night stand. i've only been with like, 3 guys my whole life!"

reports the daily free press...

Under current law, rape in Massachusetts can only be prosecuted if the act involves force and non-consent. The law does not protect victims who have been intentionally duped into having sex without force or violence.

"There is a myth that rape only happens in a dark alley by a stranger -- this is not true," said Rep. Peter Koutoujian.

"The intent of the crime is the same, and so the punishment should be the same," Koutoujian said. "We not only have the judicial mandate to file this legislation, we have a moral obligation."

Rape by deception is just as damaging and illegal as rape by force, said Middlesex County District Attorney Gerry Leone.

"We have always known that 'No means no,' and the current law allows us to effectively prosecute those cases," Leone said. "What this bill makes clear is that you cannot deceive or defraud a victim into saying yes."

of all the retard fucking laws proposed by retard fucking lawmakers in this country that seek to stick their goody-two-shoes little probing noses into every vagina, ass and cockhole, is this not among the more retarded? how the fuck do you prove this in court? will jilted lovers be sending their former paramours to prison on the basis of "when we met that night at pete's brew barn he told me that he was a professional hockey player" charges?

fuck you peter koutoujian and gerry leone! while you two are off fondling little boys or fucking hookers behind the backs of your wives while passing moral judgments upon the rest of the world because of the guilt-ridden angst inspired by your actions, leave the rest of us the fuck alone! we can take care of ourselves, thank you very much!

rape by decepetion may become a crime

keith olbermann rhetorically spanks the clinton campaign

last night on countdown, keith olbermann took the clinton campaign to the woodshed, specifically regarding geraldine ferraro's "if obama was a white man, he would not be in this position" comment, and her subsequent elaboration on such.

what bothers me most about this, and i'm greatly bothered by it, is that if this were say, rush limbaugh or bill o'reilly that had made these comments, there would be hell to pay. jesse jackson and al sharpton would be mobilizing troops to protest. a political junta would have been called for by many divergent voices.

where is the outrage???

the rolling stone cover piece on barack obama

i'll admit, i put off reading the massive cover piece in the current issue of rolling stone due to the almost sheer exhaustion of being a voyeur to this campaign. i mean, what more is there is to know about this guy, about any of them? well, i finally forced myself to read it yesterday, and i found it to be a very illuminating insight into who he is as a person. an excrept...

He came to Washington pushing the hope that politics could be better — but now he can give the impression that he'd rather be just about anywhere other than in Washington. "It can be incredibly frustrating," he tells me. "The maneuverings, the chicanery, the smallness of politics here." Listening to a bloviating colleague at his first meeting of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama slipped a three-word note to a member of his staff: "Shoot. Me. Now." On a recent day, as Obama made his way through the Capitol's corridors, his fellow senators seemed like good-natured sportscasters, jolly and easy with their power, bantering about the fortunes of baseball teams in their home states. . Obama is aloof and quiet. He prefers to listen, attentive as a rector, not quite of this world, silently measuring it. "The typical politician pushes himself on people to get them to pay attention," says Frank Luntz, the Republican campaign strategist. "Obama is quieter. He doesn't push — he has a laid-back feel that pulls you in. That is so rare."

I saw Mr. Olberman and I must say he was magnificent. It made me realize that the kind of outrage that I have been prone to over the tom foolery that is the Clinton campaign does not make me alone in this world, or a crazy person. I loved his anger. It wasn't all shouty and blustery and stupid like most pundits and talk show hosts. It was pure righteous indignation.

@silverb...everything that we're seeing now is such a throwback to the 90s when this sort of coy obfuscation, scandal, and cuteness were an almost daily occurrence in the clinton adminsistration. it's maddening at times, and frankly, i don't wanna have to live through it again. these people are shameless!

I think the usage of that rape law is different than what you're envisioning it being used for. From the article:

"Without the new legislation, police and prosecutors are virtually helpless when someone reports a rape that occurred because the victim was deceived or tricked into consenting. Legislators cited a case in western Massachusetts in which a woman consented to intercourse with her boyfriend's brother because he claimed to be the woman's boyfriend.

In another case of "fraud" rape, a lab technician posed as a medical doctor and sexually assaulted a woman. Legislators said they hope changing the law will prevent future rapes and bring those guilty of any form of rape to justice."

If it's used for what you're describing, then yes, it'd be pretty ridiculous, but those two instances sound pretty rape-y to me.

@haha...but haha, what you're not getting is how the vagueness of this thing's language could be interpreted a hundred million different ways and thus could be used to settle personal and political vendettas. this thing is just fucktard stupid and wrong. gewt the government the fuck out of our bedrooms! is massachusetts north korea?!?!

The TV was on Fox last night and Greta von S had "important breaking news" and it was basically a stakeout of this poor girls place. And i totally felt sorry for her. It was spectacularly retarded. I suppose it could all turn out in her favor, but more than likely it'll be tough for her to be taken seriously. Just ask Monica.

The stakeout, the pictures, - everything - its all just gross. She's 22 for goodness' sake.

Hi again,

No, I got that. It depends upon how the bill is written. It's hard to imagine that they'd write a bill so vaguely that it could be used for the purpose you're describing.

Anything's possible, though. There are some true dumbasses in government.

this poor girl could have easily closed down her myspace page.

did she?

nah.

is it closed now?

nah.

any publicity is good publicity...

All I can say about Keith Olbermann is... Daaaaammmmmmnnnn! Talk about a spanking! Personally I hope she doesn't take his advice - I'm with you, enough of the Clintons. Did you notice what he said at the end? "Good night, and good luck" - a throwback to the fellow who stood up to McArthy (sp) ended his broadcast the same way.

Good post man, chock full of stuff.

Thank you for the falafel tumblr. I almost fell off my chair laughing.

Rolling Stone has some pretty good political writers. Matt Tiabbi (sp?) is one of my favorites. I don't always agree with their analysis or opinions, but it is usually an intelligent read.

The Spitzer girl. She looks like Daisy Fuentes.

@mariaaaa...i know. i can't even imagine.

@haha...glad you see the light bro. :)

@quin...fuck, i can't blame her. might as well capitalize on it all.

@crispy...he actually signs off every broadcast in that manner, for the record.

@rosy glow....that made me laugh to. the fucking audacity of that guy!

@bigmoneygrip...agreed! he's super!!!

@cb: ah, shows you how much I keep up with him.

I know what you meant but the "this" is a little vague and seems like it could be referring to the Olbermann video itself. That video is a work of genius though. He utterly destroys Ferraro and Clinton for 10 minutes. It's great.
